On 2nd July, we’re going to be putting on an exciting new
evangelistic event exploring the impact that Christianity
had on the history of jazz.
There will be the beautiful surroundings of All Saints’
Garden, with a live jazz band, drinks, desserts and short
talks from Charlie Newcombe (StAG’s resident bluesloving preacher). Together we’ll be unpicking the paradox
at the heart of jazz: its deep sorrow, borne out of years of
slavery, discrimination and oppression, and its persistent
exuberance, its longings for freedom, found truly in Jesus.
