"On our trip to San Diego during spring break last year, we decided to take a tour, and found a little trinket shop with a entrance to a cave inside. The cave was dug over 110 years ago, and to get down into the mouth of the cave you had to climb more than 145 steps! Finally when we got there, I was able to snap this shot of a canoe floating in the middle of the cave's mouth. I love the contrast between the dark cave and the light sea and I thought that it was really interesting how the landscape with all the houses peeking out of the midst in the background. I find looking at this photo really relaxing because it reminds me of the quiet flow of the water bumping against the cave. This was a really unique experience and I'm glad I got to capture the moment."

"My image is mainly focusing on the trees and lights, enabling you to discover the different shades of tonal value that nature has to offer. Notice how I used the special effect of fog to my advantage. This gave my image a clean and smooth texture."

TIP: If you want to produce a nice cover picture, try playing around with your camera by focusing on a light background with dark objects.
