Mr. Mime

Top 10 most terrifying

Pokemon

Joshua Tan

OHOHOH, THIS THING. THIS FREAK OF NATURE THAT HAS HORRIFIED ME SINCE I WAS THREE. Satan himself would quake in fear at the sight of this thing. Mr. Mime is, well, a mime. I hate mimes. Those silent, make-up wearing, glorified clowns make me want to cry myself to sleep, every night. This Pokemon is basically a demented party clown that can be kept inside a Pokeball. However, if you think a mere Pokeball can contain this demon spawn, you are sorely mistaken. Mr. Mime will trap YOU instead, by encasing you in its psychic walls. That's right, Mr. Mime has the power to create walls out of the PURE PSYCHIC ENERGY IT CONTAINS. Not only is it a clown, it’s a PSYCHIC CLOWN. All my worst fears come to life. Finally, Mr. Mime can be female. WHY WOULD YOU HAVE A FEMALE MISTER MIME?

Legend of Zelda: Zelda’s Lullaby

Top 10 original soundtracks

Brian Li

Zelda's Lullaby, as the title states, is usually associated with Princess Zelda and is considered her personal theme song. First appearing in the LoZ game "A Link to the Past (1992)" (Spare the groans), this same piece has reoccurred in all of LoZ's future games, usually sporting some sort of alteration or thematic change. This original Zelda piece has a catchy melody that can keep you humming for hours and as LoZ generally has some pretty epic pieces, especially in the dungeons, having a nice tranquil piece such as Zelda’s Lullaby provides a needed respite between the grand battles and heart attack-inducing plot twists (For those who have played Twilight Princess, you know EXACTLY what I’m talking about). Keeping in mind that this piece was composed around the year 1991, Zelda’s Lullaby is a piece that is definitely in need of more recognition. On a tangent, despite this piece being one of the oldest in video game history, it is still one of my favourite pieces, over twenty years after its creation. My favourite interpretation of this piece is the orchestral version by The Synthetic Orchestra (found on Youtube), featuring the pan flute, which is coincidentally the signature instrument

of Peter Pan. In order to achieve Nirvāṇa,

listen to this piece while reading an enjoyable

book, in a warm and cozy setting.
