This Brazilian multi-cultural troupe performs the kinetic street dances of Rio de Janeiro with boldness, vigor and abandon, in an inventive mix of hip-hop, samba, capoeira and contemporary dance. The troupe will also be offering a workshop during the festival. The ‘Festival de danse’ features performance collaborations between professional dancers and students, who will be accompanied by a strong team of professionals (musicians, video artist and technicians). The workshop activities will be designed for beginners as well as more advanced students so all can participate at their own pace. All activities will be presented entirely in French, having a great impact and encouraging pride in the participants’ francophone identity. Dominique Saint-Pierre, Francophone Program Director
