Wow, what a
year!
When organizational growth happens, you
hope to be prepared. Plans are made for a
dynamic year ahead, and once funding is in
place and the good people are on board to
make it happen, great things do indeed get
done. Such was MASC’s last year. It was a
fully planned, neatly managed, artistically
sound year.

ARTcy professional development events
for teachers.
Wow. What a year was 2015! These new
activities, though many are at the border of
our core program, involved a significant
amount of resources. At the same time, we
remained committed to maintaining our
primary programs while supporting the
new work.
Throughout this growth, we have made many
strides to collaborate with others, both inside
and outside the arts community, sharing
lessons learned and other wisdom, as well as
seeking out advice and sharing resources.
Cross-organizational partnerships have proven
not only to be very valuable, but also a great
mechanism for us to learn more about the
larger community and act responsively to
their needs. This has led to arts education
programming innovation and new
opportunities intersecting with the social
service sector.
The growth has been fast and furious. We are
so pleased to be able to offer these wonderful
events and programs to the community again
this year. The appreciation and renewal of
both funders and participants is particularly
exciting. The next year ahead will require all
our strengths to come into play as we manage
this extraordinary and joyous growth while
shooting the rapids of this river of culture.
Thanks to our enthusiastic Board of Directors
for supporting the amazing MASC Artists,
Volunteers and Staff as we strive to make it
great. Enjoy!

“Hello from the desk of the
Office Manager! I am excited
to get this opportunity to
introduce myself. I am a
graduate of Studio 58 in
Vancouver and have been
involved or surrounded
by the arts for most of my
lucky life. Working with MASC is a
real privilege. Each day is a new experience
and as I learn more about this incredible
organization and all it has to offer my
gratitude deepens that I'm a part of it. I
look forward to meeting you and everyone
that MASC works with!”

“I’m very excited to part of the
MASC team this year as the
Finance Coordinator. I have
worked in many aspects of the
accounting field throughout the
years and look forward to not only
working for such a great team but
also taking part as a volunteer in
some of the MASC programs. I
have been involved as a student in
both competitive dance and in the visual
arts and now look forward to enjoying all
the MASC has to offer. Please feel free to
introduce yourself to me by phone, visit or
email.”
