Helping to make your
school relevant
The word “relevant” isn’t used very often, but in this issue of Smart Solutions, it
is our focus to share ways your school can be relevant to your community. If your
school is relevant, it means that you are significantly demonstrating the quality
and value that is important to your constituents. This ties nicely to Smart Tuition
because it’s our goal to be a relevant resource for your school and families.
Now, as part of Blackbaud, our relevance to your school has increased. We continue
to offer premium tuition management solutions, online payment and donation
portals, and Smart Aid financial need assessment services; but we can also introduce
you to the services from Blackbaud that are relevant to efficiently connecting the
people and data at your school. Connecting and building trustworthy relationships
is important for virtually all organizations.
To that core, this issue’s Made to Stick book review, reminds us to determine the
central goal of our organization and to make decisions based on a clear, simple
goal. This suits us all well, because when things become too complicated, most
of us lose concentration and interest. Know your primary goal and direct your
activity and messaging toward your goal. Of course, this is easier said than done.
Yet, when actions are focused, we become more relevant and it’s easier for our
communities to see the quality and value we offer. Be relevant!
