The 2015 Salon International d’Auto Montreal kicked off the auto show season in
Canada and this year Subaru marked the occasion with the North American debut of
the Subaru VIZIV 2 Concept.
The VIZIV 2 is a plug-in hybrid crossover concept with a turbocharged, direct-injection
1.6-litre SUBARU BOXER 4-cylinder linked to a high-torque Lineartronic CVT. The hybrid
system consists of a high-voltage battery, one electric motor at the front and two at back,
giving the VIZIV 2 an electrified version of the Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system.
The name “VIZIV” is an amalgamation of “Vision for Innovation,” an appropriate
moniker given all the design and engineering features of this future-focused
concept vehicle. This crossover combines 360-degree sensing
mechanisms with the award-winning EyeSight™ advanced
driver-assist system.
The exterior design of the VIZIV 2 is equally striking with
