Your Time on Board
You will be involved in all aspects of life on board Silurian.
We follow a rota, so there are always two people looking for cetaceans from the mast
Once in deep water we deploy the hydrophone (above) so we can listen and record sounds in the ocean. You might hear cetacean vocalisations - such as clicks and whistles, as well as man-made sounds such as boat engines.
We enter all the data we collect into the computer.
