PEOPLE LOOK AT THEMSELVES NOT IN TERMS OF ONE SPACE AND ONE PLACE, BUT A GLOBAL COMMUNITY. ence a play, it lives on the stage in a theatre, it lives in these classrooms, it lives as the students are taking it around to their worlds, as it moves through their minds, and the play then inspires them to create and own their voice in it. This is for me, a part of the playwriting and how we share the play itself through its various lenses, which are these projects by the students. They’re different disciplines, which is about expanding how we experience theatre, how we define theatre, how we challenge how it’s experienced. Signature: What are your thoughts on your residency with Signature thus far? RT: I’m enjoying it immensely. I find it wonderful to be able to plan out several plays all at once and scheming to its point of entry starting with this piece. To know when it’s due and to have that support in all of it. To dream of the collaborations and then making concrete those dreams. It’s really a wonderful experience. n
