Zachęcić widza , by obejrzał film za pomocą jednego obrazu . Jednocześnie pokazać jego kwintesencję , niczego nie zdradzając . Opowiedzieć całą historię , mając jedynie ułamek sekundy . Taką funkcję spełnia , a właściwie powinien , plakat filmowy . Niestety , na naszych oczach sztuka plakatu filmowego umiera . Ciekawe produkcje są promowane poprzez prace powielające zachodnie standardy , oparte na banalnym połączeniu zdjęć głównych bohaterów z mało wyszukanymi elementami grafiki .
Nie godzimy się na to , dlatego już po raz trzeci w ramach Short Waves Festival organizujemy Warsztaty Projektowania Plakatu Filmowego . Podczas trzech dni uczestnicy zapoznają się z teorią projektowania plakatu , by następnie wykorzystać zdobytą wiedzę w praktyce i samemu zaprojektować plakat dla filmów krótkometrażowych pochodzących z obu krajów . Zrobią to pod okiem jednego z najbardziej utalentowanych polskich grafików , Jana Bajtlika , laureata wielu nagród za ilustracje do książek , prac publikowanych na łamach między innymi : Time Magazine i New York Times , ale również autora wystawy podczas prestiżowego ” d ‘ Utopies et réalités # 2 . Les intrépides ” Paryżu w 2016 r .
Encourage the viewer to watch a film using a single image . Simultaneously present its essence without revealing everything . Tell the whole story having only a split second . A film poster has , or at least should have , this function . Unfortunately , the film poster art is dying before our very eyes . Interesting productions are promoted according to the Western standard : a banal set of main characters ’ pictures and unsophisticated graphic elements .
We will not stand for this and that is the reason we are organizing a third Film Poster Design Workshop in the history of Short Waves Festival . For three days , attendees will be learning about the film poster design theory to later use their knowledge in a hands on experience . Their task will consist of designing a short film poster originating from either Poland or Germany . They will be guided by one of the most talented Polish graphic designers Jan Bajtlik , a laureate of many book design awards , author of works published in the likes of New York Times and Time Magazine , but also the creator of an exhibition during prestigious “ d ‘ Utopies et réalités # 2 . Les intrépides ” 2016 in Paris .
