Anne
Norwood’s
passion for fashion
Anne Norwood’s grandmother, Grace Walker, is to blame for Anne’s love of
all clothes - both trendy and classic. Her grandmother’s passion for clothes,
accessories and entertaining has been instilled within Anne. She took her
along on shopping extravaganzas throughout the Pee Dee from boutiques to
antique shops. It was she who taught Anne that quality pieces are more expensive but will last forever. Therefore, Anne shops just like her grandmother
did - for quality clothes.
She remembers her grandmother as a lady who wore hats, costume jewelry and shoe clips. As a young girl, she was amazed at how shoe clips
could instantly change an average pair of pumps. “My grandmother had
a very sophisticated yet sassy flare in the way that she dressed.” Currently,
Anne works with her daughter-in-law, Leah, at Mosaic in Lake City. She enjoys
helping customers find exactly what they are looking for. In addition, Anne is
thrilled at the sight of the UPS or FED-X guys arriving with packages of merchandise to adorn the clothing racks. “I feel like a kid at Christmas opening
the boxes to see what’s inside!” She confesses that it is difficult to not want
everything that Mosaic carries. From clothes to shoes, purses and hand-crafted fashion jewelry, she is surrounded by temptation. Despite the fact that
she has always possessed a passion for clothes, Anne admits that she has
gained more appreciation for clothing since she started working at Mosaic.
At Mosaic, Anne stays up-to-date on the latest trends, yet tends to gravitate
towards stylish equestrian wear such as boots, riding pants and blazers. Therefore, it is no surprise that she is most looking forward to buying a new pair of

boots this fall. In addition, Anne claims that you can’t go wrong with a great
pair of skinny jeans. When paired with boots and a blazer, you’ve instantly got
a classic, “put together” look.
In any season, Anne’s best color is blue. Any hue of blue works with her
skin tone and enhances her blue eyes. In fact, she receives the most compliments when she wears the many shades of this color. Perhaps this is because
Anne feels comfortable in her own skin. “I feel proud and confident when I
wear beautiful clothes. It’s like the feeling you have on a good hair day!” While
Anne can’t pick a favorite designer, her closet is laden with designers like
Jude Connally, Trina Turk, Elliott Lauren, Nell, Tolani, Hunter Bell and Saint
John. Though Anne’s wardrobe houses designer apparel, she admits that she
is more apt to splurge on designer bags and pieces of hand-crafted jewelry.
“I love statement pieces. Dannijo and Megan Park are my favorites - they are
pricey but worth it!”
