The Wedding Married Life
Our dream wedding took place on January 7 , 2017 , at Hidden Acres outside of Marion . We had planned on having 150 guests join us for our special day , but because of the snowy weather , we ended up having around 100 . They say snow on your wedding day means prosperity so we couldn ’ t complain too much .
We have been married for three weeks and three days so far , and it ’ s nothing short of sheer bliss . It is everything I have dreamed and more ! Even with moving a week after coming back from our honeymoon . ( Yes , we are crazy . Christmas , wedding , honeymoon , and a move , all in one month !)
We wanted our wedding to reflect us as a family , so the atmosphere was very relaxed , even though it was snowing outside . We had planned and prepared for months , and everyone was excited to see all of our work was coming to fruition . I think my oldest daughter , Ansley , was the most excited . She said that it was “ family day ” because we were officially a family . Yes , our little family was about to be complete , and I could not wait to walk down the aisle and marry my best friend !
The ceremony was intimate and heartfelt . We wrote our own vowed , and Dalton even wrote vows for Ansley and Lakelyn too , including rings for them as well . Dalton also played the guitar and sang the song “ Mean to Me ,” by Billy Eldredge . It could not have been any more perfect .
The best thing about being a wife is knowing that he is my husband . I am looking forward to every moment with him . Knowing that he will be by my side through all of life ’ s moments brings me so much happiness . Whether it ’ s growing old together or watching our children grow up , I can ’ t wait to go through life with Dalton .
We plan to center our marriage around God . When you love God and put Him first , your love and your relationship will grow to heights you never thought possible . God is love , and love is our Anchor !
Heather Hucks Jones and Dalton Hamilton Jones live in Conway with their daughters , Ansley and Lakelyn . Heather is a cosmetologist at Salon 24 and Dalton is employed with Santee Cooper .
