Q&A with:
CORY
SOLOMON
Compiled by Erin Jusseaume
Tie Down Roper Cory Solomon is headed to his fourth
WNFR this year in Viva Las Vegas. We caught up with Cory
to find out the scoop ahead of his return to the famous
Thomas and Mack Arena.
Q: What are you most excited about for this years
WNFR?
A: Going into the finals in the position I am in. I know I have
a great chance to win, and to be as close to the top as I am,
it is really exciting.
Q: What’s been your biggest challenge this year?
A: Staying positive; before Cheyenne I was just poking
along winning some money here and there to stay with
the competition. It was hard to keep the positivity and faith
going.
Q: How do you feel about your chances to come
away with a world title win?
A: I feel very confident. I know I am one of the best ropers
in the world and I have worked hard to get here. I have put
a lot of work into my preparation and I know it will pay off.
God has a plan, and if it is meant to be this year it is meant
to be, if not I know that it will happen at the right time.
Q: Where do you think the best ‘hot spot’ in Vegas is
to go during the WNFR?
A: MGM or Mirage are great places to go, though I have to
say the Gold Buckle zone at the MGM is not to be missed.
