might be quirky’. I laughed and told her to
just keep him saddled, I’d ride him when
I got home.”
“He was just a lot of horse for me,” Jeane
said. “He and Callie fit just fine, so I
handed her the reins.”
Callie did the due diligence. She piloted
him through the jackpots, seasoned him
at local rodeos. When FloJo’s consistent
winning made it obvious that he was
truly bound for greatness, Callie hit the
national WPRA trail with her mom and
daughter in tow. Cell phone calls from
all over the US back home to both Karen
Martin and Mary Ellen Flo kept the rest
of FloJo’s family involved in their quest.
