Resurrection
This piece is inspired by the Story of Shim
Cheong, a Korean folktale and Ophelia, touching
on the meanings of death and resurrection.
Lotus, a flower blooming and closing to the
rise and fall of the sun, bears various cultural
symbolisms such as opportunity and rebirth. The
piece conveys the artist’s personal experience
of being born again by overcoming negative
elements and cleansing herself emotionally.

Bu eser, bir Kore efsanesi olan Shim Cheong’un hikayesinden ve Hamlet’in meşhur Ophelia’sından ilham alarak ölüm ve diriliş konularına
gönderme yapıyor. Güneşin doğuşu ve batışı esnasında açıp kapanan nilüfer çiçeği, bereket ve
doğum gibi çeşitli kültürel ve sembolik anlamlara
sahip. Eser, sanatçının olumsuz bir durumun üstesinden gelerek kendisini duygusal olarak temizlemesini ve bu yeni halinin doğuşunu anlatıyor.
