hotographer Lissy Larachia
says she remembers long
hours spent exploring places where her imagination could run free and wild.
p
e have to believe it because
Lissy has photographed it.
She has made dreams and fantasies a familiar realm, transpired through her lens.
But her images throw us off balance. They reach us like a resounding gong because this familiar realm she has captured through the looking glass of her 35 mm lens, is a fantasy.
w
e are fascinated by her
photographs because
Lissy is able to bring these resonant flashes of dream to us on film. Her childhood reverences, her time between the forest and the cornfield, all exist in perpetual suspended animation.
