Builder Award

A builder is one who has seen the vision in his heart and devotes his labor so that others can one day see it with their eyes. Builders may work quietly in the background, or promienently out front. Their common characteristic is contribution. In an organization that builds Christian character and brotherhood, the men have helped build new institutions within our Brotherhood. They have given of their time and talents to develop new aspects of ICB. In addition to leading their families and representing Christ in the marketplace, they have worked to add value to our members and organizations.

Pillar Award

Though sometimes recognized as ornamentation, pillars provide structural support. They ensure a building stands firm so people can inhabit it as the designer envisioned. As we know, Rev. A.R. Bernard, Sr. cast the vision for ICB. As that vision continues to manifest, however, other men must sustain it. These men are our Pillars. Today, we recognize brothers who have taken the initiative sustain ICB. After taking care of their personal needs and their families, brothers make personal sacrifices to ensure the vision they have embraced will continue to unfold. As Rev. A.R. Bernard says, "relationships are the network by serving the brotherhood."

"Real power is when your presence, your actions and your words awaken something inside of another man and literally influences them into a transformation of spirit. That is real power. That is the power I pray for you as men of ICB."

-Reverend A.R. Bernard, Founder
