The 2015 - 5th Annual Marriage Retreat to Los Angeles, California!
Los Angeles, California, August 13 – 16, 2015: By the grace of God, we are pleased to announce that registration has begun for the 2015 - 5th Annual Marriage Retreat to Los Angeles, California. While the Marriage Retreat is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, it was originally conceived by Sister Debra 2X. (Washington), of Muhammad Mosque #55. The theme of this year’s retreat is, "Towards more Just and Perfect Unions in Our Marriages in 2015", and it has been scheduled for August 13 - 16, 2015. The Registration Fee to attend the 2015 - 5th Annual Marriage Retreat is only $200.00 per couple. This fee includes all of the workshops and workshop materials. The event this year will be hosted by Brother Student Minister Tony Muhammad, the Student Western Regional Representative of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and the Western Region and his lovely wife, Sister L’Tonya Muhammad! This Retreat is open to male / female couples who have already entered into the process of marriage.
Brother Tony recently sat down with Relate Magazine to discuss the 5th Annual Marriage Retreat. Here is his interview in its entirety:
Relate Magazine (RM): Why are you and the Western Region hosting the 5th Annual Marriage Retreat?
Student Regional Minister Tony Muhammad (TM): Oftentimes when movements start, because the West Coast is so far away from the center of thinking, meaning Chicago and the East Coast, rarely is it that something comes to the Western Region. When I was blessed to see the effects of what Brother Marcus and Sister Cecelia does to circle the wagons and to help save marriages in the Nation of Islam, I knew that was much needed in the Far Western part of the United States of America. Our Islamic families, as well as our greater community of black and oppressed people, need to hear the teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad as it relates to marriage and how important marriages are. We also need to hear the divine order of how marriages should be set up. I saw this as a great opportunity to not only help the believers who are struggling in their marriages in the Nation of Islam in the Western Region but to also empower those who are already married and not having problems. The 5th Annual Marriage Retreat is a great opportunity and it is an honor that the West Coast could be served the great knowledge and the tools that are being given from Brother Marcus and Sister Cecelia from the teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad to our people.
