made for him to give a
sermon in Gaithersburg; to
speak with a youth group in
Silver Spring; and, to present
to a youth gathering at a
library in Waldorf. We also
visited St. Mary's College for
their annual fireworks
concert for a fun night out.
During John's visit, a surprise
connection was made to
'Annies Art Gallery in Camp
Springs -- just outside of
Washington, D.C. The
Gallery owner, Kevin Hicks,
accepted several of John's
paintings to sell in the
gallery. What a blessing that
was for “Art From The
Heart.”
On one of the hottest days
during John's visit, we
hopped on a metro-liner and
visited the U.S. Capitol and
the Lincoln Memorial in
Washington, D.C. It was an
interesting visit to one of the
most recognized buildings in
the world. A memory for a
lifetime!
John Morris painted several
paintings while in Maryland.
He painted one on Thursday,
June 20 at the Essex Branch
of the Baltimore County
Public Library; the next day,
we visited the North County
branch of the Anne Arundel
County Public Library where
he painted another gorgeous
mountain scene as the
workshop participants
watched. He also painted a
wonderful lighthouse/water
scene as we gathered at the
Eastern Yacht Club awaiting
the annual fireworks
extravaganza on July 6.
During quiet time at home,
John also put brush to
canvas and produced several
other paintings that I expect
