Late last year MWB were one of the sponsors of the
prestigious Sussex Sports Awards which were held at The
Grand Hotel, Brighton. Now in its 12th year and organised
by Active Sussex, the event welcomed back regular host,
BBC Sussex DJ Danny Pike, who was joined by special
guest, former freestyle and butterfly swimmer Mark Foster,
who provided attendees with inspirational tales of his own
sporting success.

Amongst the evening’s entertainment
was a Commonwealth Parade which
welcomed some of Sussex’s top
athletes including Worthing-based Sian
Honnor who won one gold and two
bronze medals in Lawn Bowls at the
2014 Commonwealth Games; Lucy
Wood from Crawley who won one silver
in hockey; Charlotte Kerwood from
Cuckfield who won four gold medals in
the shooting; Battle-based Steve Scott
who won one gold medal, also in the

ensures the welfare of members and
encourages everyone to enjoy sport and
stay involved throughout their lives.
