Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE)
SFE members are all specialists in older
client law, but what sets SFE members
apart from other lawyers are their specialist
client care skills that enable them to advise
and support older vulnerable clients.
To ensure that SFE members live up to this
ambition SFE have introduced an Older
Client Care in Practice Award (OCCP).
The syllabus covers the client relationship,
Undue Influence, Safeguarding and abuse
of older people and protecting client’s
interests and Older Client communication
and interviewing techniques.
We are pleased to confirm that we have
four SFE members across our offices
and all have gained the OCCP award
which certifies them to have experience
and understanding of the additional
needs and considerations when acting
for Older and Vulnerable clients, their
families and representatives as well as the
interpersonal soft skills required.
As MWB have an OCCP policy all our
Probate, Trusts and Wills staff benefit from
the advice and experience of the SFE
representatives

In addition to the
Bank Holidays over
the festive period,
Mayo Wynne Baxter
offices will be closed
on 24th December.
We will also close
early at 4pm on 31st December, but
otherwise we are open as usual.
