Lewes FC After defeat to Burgess Hill Town near the end of September, manager Steve Brown had resigned. Brown had been appointed Interim Manager in February and last season led the team to Ryman Premier safety with five wins from the last eleven league games. After the Rooks’ appearance in the Sussex Senior Cup Final in May he was offered the job on a permanent basis. However three weeks later, Lewes FC announced that Darren Freeman had been appointed first team Manager. Freeman took up the position after a brief stint at Peacehaven & Telscombe, but will be best known for his time at Whitehawk where he oversaw their rise from the County League to the Conference South. Darren has been joined on the touchline by former Rook, Ross Standen, who will be his Assistant Manager. Lewes FC Chairman, Stuart Fuller, said at the time: “Darren knows non-league football in Sussex better than most and his winning attitude became evident very early in the process. His enthusiasm and passion for the role will give us the best chance to climb away from the relegation zone and help us build for the future.” Former Brighton & Hove Albion, Fulham and Lewes forward Freeman joins the club at a pivotal moment: “I’m delighted to be the new Lewes manager and look forward to the challenges ahead,” he said. 56A BOUNDARY ROAD HOVE BN3 5TD Tel: 01273-424444 www.podiatrust.co.uk Rita Tanyous BSc (Hons) Podiatry Mchs SRCH LA PACTmed (Photodynamic Antimycrobial Therapy) • PACT FUNGAL NAIL TREATMENT IS A NON-INVASIVE, TOPICAL NAIL TREATMENT . • 95% EFFECTIVE , EVEN WITH LONG-TERM INFECTIONS. • PACT IS PHOTO-ACTIVATED.
