“It will be quite emotional singing
‘Brighton Beach’ in the place where it all
happened. That will be such a special
moment.
“It’s also going to be fantastic playing
three football stadium venues and the
atmosphere is going rock!”
Albion’s head of commercial
development Simon Williams added, “We
are delighted Rod has chosen to start
his tour at the Amex – it promises to be a
really special night.”

Football loving music legend Rod
Stewart will kick off his five-date 2014

The tour will see him perform songs from
his 29th and latest hit album Time which
is an autobiographical work and includes
the nostalgic love song ‘Brighton Beach’
about his early life.
Rod told seagulls.co.uk: “A lot’s
happened for me both professionally and
personally since I last played Brighton
and I’m delighted to be finally coming
back.
“It’s been a long time coming, but I’m
looking to make my return something
people will remember.
Stewart has announced dates for his
latest tour of the UK – and they include
some very happy returns for the music
icon.
The football-mad singer will feel at home,
performing in a series of five concerts
at well-known club grounds across the
country.
He follows that with a performance at
Premier League Stoke City’s Britannia
Stadium on 14th June. On 20th June it’s
another trip to the seaside for Celtic fan
Rod and his band, as they look to rock
Blackpool’s historic Bloomfield Road.
The three venues are the biggest of the
five date UK tour, which also includes
concerts in Taunton, on June 18, and
Falkirk, on June 21.
