Tracey Surman Carmen Calvo-Couto Krista McKerrell “I currently manage the firm’s central property team at Lewes that comprises four fee earners and support staff.  Prior to joining the firm I practised as a residential conveyancer for a period of some 20 years at several local law firms ranging from small high street to regional; this included managing various residential property teams and assisted with the training of trainee solicitors.   “I am a dual-qualified solicitor in England and Wales, as well as a Spanish lawyer (abogado). I moved to the UK in 1998 and studied a Masters Degree in International Commercial Law at the University of Sussex. “I am a ‘converter’ to law. My undergraduate degree gained in 2003 was in Social Anthropology and International Development. Having worked in the public sector as a graduate I became interested in statutory law and Westminster decision-making – so much so that I decided to study law and redirect my career. I enjoy making the often daunting prospect of moving house straight forward and believe that good communication is absolutely essential to any property transaction and, as such, place great emphasis on keeping both clients and estate agents fully updated throughout and I work hard to ensure that each and every transaction moves as smoothly as possible.   I share my life with my partner and three collie dogs. In my spare time I have a passion for all things creative and I’m a keen illustrator (particularly caricatures!!)
