You will see them on your hands for the rest of your lives. They should be beautiful so choose the ones that you really like. Photographer It is super important to choose a wonderful wedding photographer that will capture all those precious moments of your day. Every detail is important! When you look at your wedding album in 10 years time, you should find that precious emotion and you can’t put a price on that. An award winning wedding photographer www. woodlandhillphotography.co.uk Videographer To record the most beautiful moments and those vows to each other is as important as photographs. Image how nice it would be to show your children when they are older and pass it from one generation to another. You can live that one time moment over and over again by watching your big day on video. Makeup artist and hair stylist Just remember one thing, that makeup and hair completes the entire look. No matter how beautiful your dress is going to be, if your makeup and hair aren’t great that’s where it goes downhill. Imagine that makeup and hairstyling is the last accessory that you put on before you walk down that aisle. The entire day and every detail should be important but those 5 things above are the ones to get right. If you are getting married abroad and planning on doing your own makeup, book a bridal makeup lesson so you can be confident on the day. If you decide to book a makeup artist makeup sure you have your makeup trial as it is important. You should have your trial 3-4 weeks before the wedding. If possible try to book it the same day as your dress fitting so you can see how you will look on your big day. If it’s not possible then wear something white to your trial. Don’t forget to bring along those reference images of makeup and hair styles that you liked, they will give an indication to the artist. My biggest advice to all the brides is – look after your skin! If you have some skin issues, go to see a specialist to identify your problem and start treating it. You should care for your skin everyday but every bride should get into a certain routine 6 months before the wedding. You need to be sure what skin type you have and use skin care products according to your type. Don’t use any new skin care products and if you think having that last facial before the wedding is a good idea I have to disappoint you. You might have a reaction to something and that’s the last thing you need, so stay away from the temptation. Also don’t forget that your beauty bag should contain a product which has SPF in it. Your skin is very delicate so you need to protect it at all times and not just before the wedding. Always remember, if it’s too good to be true it probably is. Do lots of research, invest some time to find the right things and people. Professional people that care about their jobs and most importantly about you. Great work comes with a price tag so have a think and ask yourself ‘’Can I afford not having these things on my big day?’’ because if something goes wrong there will be no one to blame but yourself. It is the biggest and the most exciting event of your life so enjoy the experience and prioritise. Congratulations to all the brides! By Asta Perkins astaperkins.co.uk 39
