One of our team, solicitor, Sylvia Garcia, fell in
love with this charming German city over ten
years ago. After one visit, she made a vow to
spend every Christmas there, read her feature
to find out why…
Germany had never really appealed to me as a holiday
destination. That was until I was invited, one Christmas some
ten or so years ago, to stay with a friend who was a former
member of the English National Ballet and who happened to
be performing the lead role in Tchaikovsky “The Nutcracker” at
the Koblenz Theatre. I came to learn very quickly that Germans
have a passion for the arts and moreover the ballet and I felt a
strange sense of pride that people of all ages, in wonderfully
elegant attire were drawn to the performance in such numbers.
Almost immediately I was captivated by this extraordinary city
and from that moment I made a vow to spend every Christmas
there. Fortunately it has since become a family tradition to visit
Koblenz during the festive season – one that my daughter and
husband cherish every year.
