Latest TV

More shows!
The region saw the launch of its very
own local television channel, Latest TV in
August, bringing the best of news, views,
music, entertainment, properties and
much more into our homes.
Best-selling crime writer Peter James
will be a regular on the channel
as Mister Crime. Latest TV will be
presenting the first weekly LGBT
magazine programme on British TV –
Q Tube.
The brightest and best of Brighton and
Hove plus Worthing and Adur launched
on our television screens with the
broadcast of Latest TV on Freeview
Channel 8 and Virgin Media 159 as well
as online and on-demand.
Latest TV is accessible to 400,000 people
across the Greater Brighton area and
along with watching on your TV, it can be
accessed on any device, by everyone in
the UK, through TV everywhere.
And what’s more, with a `You make it, we
show it` policy, you, the viewers, can also
be stars of the TV screen. Founder Bill
Smith said: “Latest TV will have the right
ingredients to make Brighton rock! We
have been fighting for Brighton to have
its own television station for years. It’s so
exciting to see this dream become a reality.
“I believe that TV should be democratic.
So as well as the Latest team producing
top-class television we will be proud to
show films and videos made by people in
Brighton, Hove and Worthing.
“If these are good, we will soon sign you
up! Now you can get a TV career started
without commuting and together we can
build a TV and film industry here.”
