Jaguar F-Pace
Ever since I can remember I’ve always had an interest in cars,
and the object of my desires has pretty much been to own a
Jaguar – class, sophistication, and a smooth ride………anyway
enough about me, lets talk about the Jag!
The closest I had been to having one was
when I test drove a second hand X-Type
before choosing my current car. Style
and comfort were the order of the day
back then. Sadly though, Mrs E wears the
trousers in our house (apparently the dogs
even ahead of me in the pecking order!?)
as she wanted me to choose something
smaller, in case she ever needed to
drive it (?).
That was a few years ago and things have
moved on since then (though not my wife I
hasten to add!).
Step forward the lovely people at
Harwoods Jaguar in Crawley with the
stunning Jaguar F-PACE. I was due to
attend a 25th Wedding celebration in
Tunbridge Wells at the weekend and I
wanted to arrive in style. So off I went to
collect my stunning automatic 2.0 litre 4
cylinder turbo charged R - Sport in ebony
black on the Friday. Apparently I could
have had the V6 3.0 litre version if they
hadn’t sold it during the week!
The very helpful Kerry took time to show
me how all the gadgets and gizmos
worked and after she directed me off the
forecourt (I wasn’t not sure who was more
nervous?) I settled back to enjoy what this
Jag had to offer.
What was immediately apparent was the
effortless handling. To describe this feeling
akin to gliding on a magic carpet would
probably be a little extreme for a diesel,
plus I can’t say I’ve done an impression of
Aladdin recently!? But I certainly enjoyed
