Keeping Cool
Our new friends from the HarBAR and the Jetty ( see review on P40 & 41 ) could tell that the Re : Magazine team had been working up a sweat to get this issue out so they kindly popped in with a cart full of cocktail flavoured ice lollies to help cool us down . All the staff were very appreciative so thanks to Charlotte Drew and the team for bringing us these goodies . We can certainly vouch for the gin & tonic and mojito ones …. hic !
Let ’ s Do Business Eastbourne 2016
Once again we took a stand at the Let ’ s Do Business Show in Eastbourne , where this year we had a bit of fun by inviting exhibitors and visitors to have a go at our ‘ Grab a Grand ’ competition . Essentially , this involved standing in an enclosed Perspex money blowing machine whilst trying to collect as many ‘ MWB bank notes ’ as possible - as a bit of fun we had our Chief Exec , Chris Randall ’ s face printed on the notes . Hundreds of people took part keeping us thoroughly entertained . With a score of 230 there was a tie at the top before the eventual winner was announced as Phil Gobbett from HSBC Bank who won two tickets to see comedian Sean Lock appear at the Congress theatre in Eastbourne .
Rockinghorse
We have got off to a galloping start in our charity fundraising efforts for Rockinghorse . Since announcing the children ’ s charity as Mayo Wynne Baxter ’ s official charity partner in April the staff have been busy planning and carrying out various fundraising activities . Events have included bake sales , dress down days , sweepstakes and money raised through our corporate golf day . We were delighted to send Rockinghorse a cheque for £ 1,467 which makes up the total donation made from just the first 3 months of the partnership !
