Duke, the second title is the Marquess of Hartington and the third is the Earl of Burlington. The current situation is that the Earl has the right to use the second title as he will follow his father as the next Duke. However, because he has business interests (in the area of photography) in which connection he uses the name of Burlington, (which he began to do when his grandfather was alive), he opted to continue to use that 82 name. No doubt when he becomes Duke his son will take up the Hartington title.” The book will cost £20 and will be published in October, will certainly be of interest to all those interested in the town whether they are residents, visitors or admirers of the seaside resort. The book will be available at Eastbourne Heritage Centre, Waterstones, The Towner Gallery and other Eastbourne outlets.
