good recall and I’ve got some decent
pictures … it’s not a boring story, I’ve
got to tell you. Even my father when he
was in the RAF, he was driving Douglas
Bader around during the Battle of Britain,
you know? It’s… the family and what
has happened over the years but that
is… it’s, yeah, quite incredible. When
I look at it and I start to read it back, I
think, my god, how did this guy ever do
this? You’re looking at yourself - you’re
standing back and saying, wow, did I
really do all that? Did that really happen?
Then you sort of surprise yourself.
Wow. It is wonderful though, wonderful
to be able to do that because, to be
honest, most people’s lives are pretty
straightforward… they get up, they go
to work, they get married, they have
children, blah, blah, blah, and then bang
life’s done. So, to experience what I’ve
experienced is… so privileged, so very
privileged.
