Dead Man’s Time book launch He kindly invited me to the launch of his ninth novel in the award-winning Detective Superintendent Roy Grace crime series. The Grace novels have sold more than 13 million copies worldwide and have been translated into 36 languages. All of the Grace books are based in Brighton and Peter always launches them in key venues in the city. The launch of Dead Man’s Time was no exception and 500 of his friends and supporters joined him at the Amex Stadium to mark the occasion. He rolled the car a number of times and ended up with some cracked ribs and a bruised spleen. Peter read a piece from the book while we enjoyed some canapés and bespoke cocktails based on the key characters from the Grace series. He also talked about some of his charity interests including the Reading Agency and I asked him to write a piece about this which can be found on pages 78 & 79. Peter James is one of the world’s best selling crime and thriller novelists, who you may remember was on the cover of the first issue of Re: Magazine.
