As I write this inaugural RDP newsletter I am sitting in one of my favorite restaurants in Prescott (www.ravencafe.com) enjoying a cold beer and wondering just exactly how I've found myself in the position I'm in today. Not even two years ago I was sending River Dave a PM telling him that if he ever needed someone to come out and shoot pictures at the various boating events he was attending I'd be happy to help. Well, that first conversation has been the catalyst for not only numerous opportunities to follow my dream of becoming a professional photograher, but many friendships to boot.
Last summer Dave and I began kicking around the idea of doing some sort of periodical recap of the happenings on the Colorado River and give folks a way to get RDP news at a glimpse. While we have gone back and forth about how to do it and how it should look the basic premise has remained the same... find a way to tell a quick story of the recent events surrounding this stretch of water we all love.
What you see before you is the product of those discussions and what we believe is yet another way that RiverDavesPlace is a community set apart from it's peers. As we continue to develop this product it is our hope that we can continue to offer the members of RDP innovative new ways of getting their river and high performance fix.
As always your suggestions are valued and any ideas for stories and features are very much appreciated.
