Many of you may know SVO 540 from
Lake Havasu or from the boat forums. What
makes El Diablo unique from other single engine cats
is that it’s powered by a 540 cubic inch blown and injected Ford. You read that right, a Ford. El Diablo was a unique build and SVO 540 believed a boat manufacturer would not be capable of producing what he wanted. SVO 540 engaged the services of GT Performance to build him a Ford powered single engine cat. Originally the plan was to build a 25 Daytona but the day before he was going to place his order with Eliminator he called Dave at DCB and asked if he would sell an unrigged Mach 26 with fuel tanks and interior. After thinking about it for a week and talking to Gary Teague about the build, Dave agreed and SVO 540 placed the order.
