STATEMENT OF ASSURANCE
The Board of Management provided leadership and robust governance for the College
throughout 2014-15. The challenges faced by the College during the year are documented
in this report. It is important to note that it would not have been possible to achieve the
significant positive outcomes detailed in this report without the inspirational leadership of the
Principal supported by her executive team. Working with staff across the College, they have
shown determination and resilience in difficult circumstances, and have always placed the
students at the heart of the decision making process.
The Board of Management has demonstrated robust challenge and scrutiny throughout the
year, as well as providing support and encouragement. Therefore, on behalf of the governing
body of Ayrshire College, I confirm that we have considered the College’s quality arrangements
for the management of the quality of the learning experience for AY 2014-15, including the
scope and impact of these. I further confirm that we are satisfied that the college has effective
arrangements to maintain and enhance the quality of its provision.
We can therefore provide assurance to the Council that the quality of learning provision at this
institution continues to meet the requirements set by the Council.
