Writing graduate who works at
Kroll Advisory Solutions in the
due diligence department, which
researches company backgrounds
and individuals as a safeguard for clients. She is responsible for researching
accounts and adverse information within various legal documents. Belue believes
that the research experience she has acquired in her position will aid her in future
endeavors. Belue describes her work as “the kind of thing that takes a lot of
practice to get good at.”

Kristen BYERS

Kristen Byers graduated from the
Professional Writing program in
2008, concentrating in both digital
and technical writing and editing
and publishing. She now lives in New
York City where she works as a web developer for the New York City Campaign
Finance Board. She is currently working to redesign the board’s entire website.
Byers believes that networking is one of the most important tools for securing a job
after graduation: “I didn’t really understand the value of networking while I was still
in school; it was only after graduation that I learned how important it really is. Get
to know others in the PW community during your time at MSU … you never know
when one of them will be able to help you out.”
