HYGIENE COUNTS
Hygienic wall cladding is a specification required in more
than 80% of new build projects as well as refurbishment
programmes, says MP Plastic Building Products Ltd.
The Sheffield-based company’s CleanClad hygienic wall
cladding is designed specifically for spaces that require
high levels of hygiene, such
as commercial kitchens,
food preparation and storage areas, laboratories, food
processing premises and wet
areas. MP Plastic Building
Products says CleanClad is
a modern and cost-effective
substitute for hard-to-maintain stainless steel.
The product, says the company,
uses a PVCu system that is less
expensive than some alternatives,
is quick and trouble-free to install
and easy to keep clinically clean.
In areas that require regular twostage and deep cleans, CleanClad
provides an answer to total wall
hygiene.
It can be bonded to most surfaces and is available in two sheet
sizes and four thickness depths.

GETS SMARTER
Recent years have seen the
rise of near field communication (NFC) ena bled devices
such as transport card readers, computer game figurines, and quick contactless
payments. Now the same
technology is being used for
door access control cylinder
smart locks from ISEO, for
fitting to new doors, but also
easily retrofitted.
This electronic access control
system combines NFC technology
with Bluetooth connectivity to allow quick access or remote access
from up to 10m away.
The free to update Argo App
gives access to all Libra operated doors allowing users to open
doors remotely, see who accessed
doors at certain times and to give
access to specific NFC devices
such as credit cards, smartphones,
and smart watches.
The previous 1,000 events are
logged on the Libra device and
can be emailed out through the
app for monitoring purposes. Up
to 300 people can be managed
through the app with different
access levels possible on different
doors for different users so perfect
for any commercial applications.
The Libra electric cylinder is easy
to retrospectively fit into doors
with European cylinder locks, and
runs directly off internal batteries
which have a three-year guar-
antee. This Italian designed and
manufactured lock is secured with
anti-drill and anti-break technology and is heavy duty. The security
features have been awarded the
highest level of international classification, certified to IP66 grade.
All Libra door locks are available
