the lock itself?
Becoming an MPL Approved Stockist is an opportunity to sell more products
to your existing trade base,
generate new trade customers, and sell directly to the
public. It is an opportunity
for genuine sales growth
and a profitability level not
attainable in other areas.
Your stock of MPL locks
and hardware will give you
a comprehensive range of
replacement parts from the
outset, and additional stock
is available on a 24 hour
turnaround from MPL’s central warehouse.

There is no charge for this;
it is included as a part of
you being within the MPL

is stock; everything else is
included as a way of supporting you to grow your
business. MPL’s experienced
personnel will work with
you throughout the whole
process, supporting you

the earliest discussions MPL
will encourage you to visit
one of their existing trade

works, to ask the questions
for yourself, and to discover
the huge potential of being
a part of the MPL family.
As with training, MPL marketing support is included
as standard. As well as promotional items and counter
signage, the key thing for
MPL is to market you as
a local trade counter to
window installers, window
repairers, and locksmiths in
your agreed trading area.
They also have a national
marketing campaign which
is on-going, and from which
you will regularly benefit
in terms of lead generation

Employers who fail
to pay the National
Minimum Wage (NMW)
will be publicly named
and shamed under revamped plans to make
it easier to clamp
down on rogue businesses, Employment
Relations Minister
Jo Swinson has announced.
The new rules are part
of government efforts to
toughen up enforcement
of the NMW and increase
compliance. By naming
employers it is hoped that
bad publicity will be an
additional deterrent to employers who would otherwise be tempted not to pay
the NMW. This is on top of
financial penalties, which
employers already face if
they fail to pay NMW.
In 2012/13 HMRC identified 736 employers who
had failed to pay the National Minimum Wage leading to the recovery of £3.9
million in unpaid wages
for over 26,500 workers.
Jo Swinson said: “Paying
less than the minimum
wage is illegal. If employers
break this law they need
to know that we will take
tough action.
If workers feel they aren’t
getting the minimum wage
that they are legally entitled
to then they should contact
the free and confidential
Pay and Work Rights Helpline on 0800 917 2368.
Calls will be referred to
HMRC to actively investigate
any suspected non-payment of national minimum
wage.
