This year, the GGF award is for “Best Home Improvement Glazing Project” and the GGF invites all companies in the home improvement sector to enter this prestigious competition. Since 1974, the NHIC Annual Awards have recognised achievement in the UK housing arena, growing over the years to become the premier event in their sector. The winner of the award will be invited to the special awards lunch held in the prestigious venue – One Whitehall Place, Westminster, where the award will be received. Nigel Rees, GGF Group Chief Executive said, “The GGF is delighted to sponsor the glazing category at the NHIC Awards. Susan and Karen took part in Pendleside Hospice’s ‘Girl’s Night Out’ 10k walk with two of their daughters, Shelley and Angela, and raised almost £400 for the cause. Susan explains: “Karen and I lost our sister Anne on the 9th May 2014, she died in Pendleside Hospice and the staff worked tirelessly to make her last three weeks comfortable and happy - they attended to her every need and really couldn’t have done more for her. Being able to raise some money for the Hospice is our way of thanking the staff for all they do for everyone in their care. Support for National Home Security Month With statistics showing that darker nights bring a 20 per cent increase in home burglaries, leading retail window brand Swish Window and Door Systems is supporting National Home Security Month (NHSM) in October.
