Metal Technology Quality Control Manager Pam Peard and her partner Sian Williams did the aluminium systems company proud with their gold medal winning performance in the ladies doubles at the World Senior Badminton Championships (Over 50s group) recently. Sponsorship from Metal Technology meant that the pair, who have played together as a team for more than 30 years, and who were already National Veterans Champions, were able to fly to Ankara in Turkey for the weeklong tournament with their entry fees, kit and other expenses covered. Pam confirmed that the competition was tough, with her and Sian having to beat teams from strong Badminton nations, including the English second seeds, to reach the final.
