TSL Upgrade
Hardware specialist VBH is now stocking the new TSL,
an outward opening casement window locking system
from German hardware manufacturer, Roto Frank.
The window locking system
builds on the features and
quality of the original Roto
TSL, which has been securing homes for more than a
decade.
The revised TSL meets the requirements of PAS24:2012, using
up to four pairs of mushroom
headed steel cams to lock into
both sides of double entry night
vent striker plates, providing a
smooth closing action and excellent security on windows with
sashes as large as 1600mm. All
fasteners are front facing, so manufacturing time is reduced.

Roto has incorporated its NT tilt
and turn faceplate into the new
window system, upgrading the
TSL further. The faceplate has
stepped edges, which provides
improved stability over a standard flat faceplate. The product is
finished in Roto’s Sil Nano scratch
resistant coating to provide corrosion resistance to EN1670:2007
(480 hours).

to improve the product further
with this update.
“The NT faceplate is very

EASY DOES IT!
Mila has launched a
new Secured By Design
accredited ProSecure
door hinge which it
says will make life easier for installers on site.
The hinge incorporates
a number of smart adjustment features which make
it quick and simple for an
installer to get the perfect door fit, regardless of
whether the door is being
installed from the front or
the top.
For low reveals, the ProSecure hinge can be front
fitted simply by removing
the steel hinge pin, while
for side fitting it can be slid
straight onto the frame in
one piece using Mila’s new
‘Glider’ technology.
Once in position, the sash
cover lifts open so that
+/-5mm lateral adjustment
can be carried out from
the front rather than the
side using a 4mm Allen
key which is turned in 90º
rotations. Once the perfect
position is reached, the
hinge can be ‘locked’ into
place to prevent adjustment
creep.
To get perfect 3D refinement, vertical (+5mm) and
compression (+/-1mm)
adjustment can also be
achieved from the top of
the hinge.
The new ProSecure
door hinge is available
in eight suited colours to
match the other products in Mila’s ProSecure
hardware range including
polished and brushed
satin chrome and white,
brown and black. In addition, it is being supplied
in five further popular
colour matched options Chartwell Green, Cream,
Anthracite, Silk and Cement Grey.
