Becoming a
‘One-stop Shop’
Fast-growing supplier to the roofline and IG building products markets, Magden has
refurbished all of its branches in a bid to create more of a ‘showroom atmosphere’.
The move is part of an
ambitious programme of
expansion and investment
for Magden, which has extended its range with the
aim of repositioning as a
‘one-stop shop’ for plastic
building products.
Magden’s commercial director,
Laurence Hicks, said: “Many of
the newer products in store,
such as decorative cladding and
Fitrite decking were chosen to
help our existing roofline and
IG customers diversify to reach
a wider market.
“As part of this programme of
refurbishment, we have created
product displays and a more
consumer-friendly atmosphere.
“Some of the products we
stock are relatively new and we
know that consumers may not
have come across them before.
Refurbishing the branches has
helped us to create an environment where trade customers
can bring their clients to view
items such as decorative cladding.”
Magden’s parent company
Amicus acquired Co Durham-based Décor Cladding
Centre last year. Since the
acquisition, decorative cladding
has become available through
all five Magden branches. Kay-
flow underground drainage and
Fitrite decking have also recently been added to its stock.
Laurence added: “As a company we want to ensure that

stock.
“We have made no secret of
the fact that this is a period

Along with new product displays
and trade counters, the refurbishment has seen new signage,
shelving and flooring across the
branches.
Magden supplies the double-glazing and roofline industries
with PVC and insulated glazing
building products.
With five branches across North
England and a fleet of 16 delivery
vehicles, Magden supplies customers across the UK including the
Midlands, Gloucestershire, Bedfordshire, Humberside the South
East and Scotland.
