31 PRO INSTALLER MARCH 2014 FIT SHOW PREVIEW THE FIT SHOW EXHIBITOR DAY DRAWS A CROWD - DESPITE THE BAD WEATHER Braving the unpredictable British weather, 160 attendees from companies who will be exhibiting at this year’s FIT Show made their way to the Telford International Centre for the Exhibitor Briefing Day this past month, to meet with staff and contractors as well as to learn about what to expect from the award-winning trade show’s second appearance. Against a back-drop of banners showing FIT Show ‘stars’ taking part in FIT’s movie-inspired promotional campaign, and with the help of exhibition industry expert, Austen Hawkins, the FIT Show team informed an ‘all ears’ audience of the show’s plans for 2014. Also included was an update on Telford’s new entertainment complex and confirmation of some 1,300 extra car parking spaces was met with much approval. FIT Show Managing Director, Paul Godwin told guests that exhibition space had once again been extended and Hall 1A now offered some excellent opportunities for late bookers. He then went on to encourage guests to understand the importance of their role in The FIT Show Exhibitor Day proved a success once again with the help of exhibition industry expert, Austen Hawkins. promoting The FIT Show, with more than 80% of last year’s exhibitors carrying the FIT Show logo and other promotional material. In his superb hour-long presentation, the motiva- tional speaking of industry expert Austen Hawkins reminded guests of the do’s and don’ts of exhibiting – with many attendees taking notes and others requested Austen’s attention after- wards to gain even more insights.
