HELIOS TAKES SHAPE IN THE COTSWOLDS
Alumen, the SMART
and Schueco aluminium fabricator, is
getting creative with
its recently launched
range of rooflights by
manufacturing an octagon rooflight from its
Helios range.

“We have enjoyed great
success with the rooflight
range we launched in
December last year. Our
quick turnaround, off the
shelf standard sizes are
moving well through our
online shop, but we are
also getting a lot of enquiries for something a bit different. As an experienced
aluminium fabricator, with
a heritage in manufacturing
a wide range of products,
we love a challenge and
this bespoke request gave
us the perfect chance to
test the capabilities of the
Helios design.
“The Helios is the contemporary square rooflight with
a raised chamfered edge.
Available as fixed or with a
smooth chain operated manual or electric opener, the
Residor passes all the tests
Residor, launched at this year’s FIT Show, is the new
GRP composite door from DW3 Products Group.

of composite doors is
designed to pass all
the tests so installers
can sell Residor with
confidence.
The door’s GRP skins are
3.6mm thick - that’s more
than double the thickness
of seven out of ten composite doors on the market.
As a result, Residor passes
the new PAS24:2016 cut
test while the others fail in
under 90 seconds. It meets
Approved Document Q
requirements easily. And
every Residor door will be
sold with an Ultion cylinder door lock as standard.
Ultion has passed tests that
reflect real-life break-ins,
and is proven to provide
homes with real-life security.
