43 PRO INSTALLER JUNE 2015 PRO SPORT @proinstaller1 SCORING THE 10 YEAR MILESTONE Frames Conservatories Direct is delighted to have entered into a new two year sponsorship deal with Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club which will see the partnership reach its 10 year milestone. The relationship began back in 2006 when the Club were playing in the London Division 3 North East. The longterm sponsorship deal has undoubtedly played a part in supporting them during their steady rise to fame culminating in promotion to National League 2 London & SE at the end of last season and their entry into the world of Semi-Professional Rugby. Club chairman, Mike Robinson, recognises the impact that the sponsorship has had on the club’s success. He said: “Making the first team and reserve squad semi-professional is necessary to compete against the majority of other clubs at this level who are paying players a match fee. The status will enable us to attract and retain the calibre of player we need, to realise our ambitions and aspirations. “We wholeheartedly recognise that Adrian and Frames Conservatories Direct have been there to support us in so many ways over the last 10 years and for that we remain loyal to them as our main club sponsor.” Frames Conservatories Direct Managing Director Adrian Lewis has supported sport in the community for many years beginning with sponsorship of the Bury & District Sunday Football League in 2005 and growing to include Bury Town Football Club and many other local sports clubs. He said: “I’m a sports fan myself and am pleased to do as much as I can to help with the stability and success of local sports clubs. As a businessman I also recognise that the people of Bury St Edmunds and surrounding areas have supported me and helped my business grow over the last 14 years so local sponsorship is my way of giving something back to the community.” SUPPORTING THE SAINTS Universal Arches has just signed a deal to sponsor St Helens Rugby League Club pitch side at their state of the art stadium at Langtree Park, just a stones through away from the bending sector market leader. The club, known affectionately as the ‘Saints’, moved to the new purpose built stadium at Langtree Park in February 2012, which is opposite Universal Arches 24,000sq ft facility. From left to right: Leon Day of Universal Arches with Paul Sculthorpe MBE. Paul Sculthorpe MBE, one of the most famous and distinguished players in recent times for the Saints and former captain was also on hand to meet Leon Day, managing director of Universal Arches. With a 21 year history in the bending sector in the same premises, albeit extended, Universal Arches has a long established reputation in the area and the opportunity to support the local rugby league team has gone down well within the workforce. Leon Day, managing director of Universal Arches, commented: “It’s great to be able to support the St Helens Rugby League Club pitch side, which is on full view for our workforce to see either at the ground or on the television. Our roots are set firmly in the area as is our workforce, who have helped shaped the company into the overwhelmingly strong position we have today.” For further information Universal Arches visit www.universalarches. com, call the sales office on 01744 612844 or follow them on Twitter @ universalarches
