This annual event has a powerful draw, with thousands of tickets sold to corporate companies looking to entertain their clients. Companies face the decision of which event to invite clients to, this one or another, and the wrong choice can cost money. An estimated £1billion is spent on official packages to major sporting and musical events each year as corporate hospitality takes a more prominent role in the sales strategy of large companies. Inviting clients to corporate events enables top executives to build relationships with their clients in a more informal and social environment. Often the responsibility of selecting and booking hospitality packages falls on the PA’s desk. The pressure of choosing the right package for the boss to entertain their key clients can be overwhelming. With so many packages available, how can one ensure that instead of entertaining a top client in a private box overlooking the action on the pitch, that they don’t end up standing in the rain next to a white van, dispensing tomato sauce onto a sorry-looking hot dog two miles from the ground for a client with a face like thunder?
