33 PRO INSTALLER DECEMBER 2016 PRO SPORT @proinstaller1 GOLF DAY SCOOPS OVER £5K FOR SARCOMA Over £5,000 has now been presented to the Oxford Sarcoma Service by the Edgetech UK team, following a golf day fundraiser in Daventry, Northamptonshire. Edgetech UK’s annual Dealership Golf Day took place at De Vere’s Staverton Park Golf Club. The day began at the clubhouse followed by a welcome from managing director at Edgetech UK, Chris Alderson. The 16 teams then tackled the 18-hole course before regrouping for dinner in the evening where trophies were presented and a char- ity auction and raffle was held in aid of the Oxford Sarcoma Service at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre. The individual winner was Mark Bowskill of Masterglass GB, while second place was taken by Kevin Averiss from Hourglass. James Keeling-Heane from Senior Glass Systems came third. First place in the team competition was Team nine - Nick Gibbons, Customade; Andy Archer, JCL Glass; Glyn Moorhouse, Oakland Glass; and David Stockton-Chalk from Promac. Paul Young, Ryan Morris and Gareth Laing from Cleartherm came second and Team two with Chris Champion, Glass News; Chris Thompson, Glazerite; Mark Harrison and James Keeling-Heane from Senior Glass. The Charity Challenge cup was taken by Bill Football exposure for window brand Window and door systems company Kömmerling is now into the second year of a three-year deal as the main sponsor of German Bundesliga football club Mainz 05. With the Kömmerling logo emblazoned on the players’ shirts, the club’s recent success has and continues to expose the brand to millions of viewers and thousands of fans across Germany and the rest of Europe. After a narrow defeat to Borussia Dortmund at the beginning of the season, the club went on to record two impressive away victories against FC Augsburg and Werder Bremen, and has since gone on to win a further two and draw one of its last six league matches, propelling the side up the table. Mainz is now bubbling under the Europa league places in 9th place on 17 points, sitting above German giants Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Monchengladbach and last year’s Champions League quarter-finalists Vfl Wolfsburg.
