‘ONE-STOP’ CUSTOMER
INFORMATION MANUAL
Emplas has launched a new easy-to-navigate online Customer Information Manual, bringing everything
from product technical details to order forms instantly to the fingertips of its customers.
Part of Emplas’ online
portal, the Customer Information Manual, gives
installers instant ‘jumpto’ access to everything
they need to know about
products and processes
in a single resource.
This includes Emplas’ customer service and support,
product and prices lists,
technical detail, all the available sales literature to bank
holiday deliveries and customer complaints procedures,
all in a single document.
Mike Crewdson, Sales and
Marketing Director, Emplas,
said: “There are always those
moments when you want to
check that little something or
other and can’t find the right
piece of paperwork, document, or brochure and before
you know it, you’ve lost half
an hour looking.
“We know that that half
an hour or so is a precious
thing when you’re running a
small business, which is why
we have pulled everything
together into a single online
resource that is dedicated to
them and has been designed
to be exceptionally easy to
use.
The service has been
launched by Emplas as part
of its new Online Customer
Portal.

Right on cue with
sponsorship for
local snooker club
The Rugby-based
Network VEKA member were sponsors
of the local ‘Rugby
Double Glazing Premier Snooker League’,
which is backed and
endorsed by Mark
Pawsey MP.
Director Simon Wade,
who attended the nail-biting end of season final
to present winner Andy
Brough with the prize explains: “The local snooker
club was set up to assist
people in the Rugby area
with learning difficulties,
helping teach basic skills
such as maths, English
and communication, whilst
playing snooker in a relaxed environment.
“The club, which meets
weekly at a local sports
bar, is a great success in
our local area and offers a
great support for those that
need it; we are thrilled to
help in any way we can.”
Having sourced a Steve
Davis autographed snooker
cue from Network VEKA,
which was auctioned off
to raise funds for the club,
the installer company also
supplied trophies for the
winners and an impressive
monetary prize for the
winner.
‘we are thrilled
to help in any
way we can’
Simon added: “We’ve
been a member of Network
VEKA since 2011, and it
has made a big difference
to us and our customers,
so we are really pleased
to have been able to work
with them to provide prizes for the local club.”

Letter To PM
Over Eco Threat
Following the Prime
Minister’s recent statement in Parliament last
month that, “We need
to roll back some of
the green regulations
and charges that are
putting up bills”, the
GGF has written to the
Prime Minister’s Office.
The letter highlights that
energy efficiency is the
“only sure way” to protect
households against rising bills in the long-term,
and that rolling back ECO
(Energy Company Obligation), which is designed to
improve the energy efficiency of vulnerable and
low income households and
‘hard to treat’ properties,
would instead increase energy bills for these consumers and could have “severe
consequences” for jobs and
growth in the Glass and
Glazing Industry.
In the letter, Nigel Rees,
GGF Chief Executive urged
Mr. Cameron to consider
using additional incentives
such as Stamp Duty rebates
and Council Tax reductions
to encourage uptake of the
Green Deal, which could
help reduce the cost of
ECO.
Nigel Rees commented,
“Green Deal is struggling to
make any impact with poor
uptake since its launch in
January this year. However
ECO is proving to be quite
successful with over 200,000
measures already installed.
To remove or reduce ECO
would be a disastrous move
for all concerned.”
