16 AUGUST 2015 PRO INSTALLER PRO NEWS www.proinstaller.co.uk LIVE BUILD IMPRESSES TRADESPEOPLE Conservatory roof and bifold door supplier Made For Trade successfully hosted a Celsius solid roof open day, attracting installers and tradesmen from across the country. Hosted at the Made For Trade show village in the North East, Pro Installer attended the event, which featured a live-build of the innovative new Celsius solid roof by manufacturers Synseal, with installers from Synseal giving live demonstrations and advice on how to fit the lightweight system. The benefits to both installers and homeowners were discussed, with Synseal detailing how the system is more thermally efficient and easier to fit than other solid roofs on the market. Mike Robinson, the Roof Manager at Made For Trade, was delighted with the turnout for the event. He said: “It was great to see so many of our existing, loyal customers attend and also meet a few companies I have not worked with before. “The weather may have been changeable at times, but everyone who attended was very attentive and we hope they enjoyed the day as well as being impressed by the roof.” Attendees of the event were given the opportunity to watch the Celsius Solid Roof being built in real-time, proving just how easy it is to install: The solid roof build can be completed in just two days, saving tradesmen one to two days work, meaning that they have more time on their hands to get other jobs done, (or to take a break!). The time saved therefore provides installers with greater profit. Experts from Synseal were able to answer questions and give valuable advice on the installation of the Celsius roof, which is designed to meet the demand for lightweight solid roofs. The product combines a timber frame with Kingspan insulated roof panels, environmentally-friendly Envirotile external roof tiles and cappings, creating a warm solid roof construction. A Velux roof light is included to allow light into the extension. Due to the eco-friendly Envirotiles, the Celsius roof is not as heavy as traditional systems using concrete or slate tiles, allowing it to be retro-fitted to existing conservatories as well as newbuilds. Mike added: “It may be the latest addition to our range, but with the demand for lightweight solid roofs at an all-time high, the Celsius system is set to become a very popular product in our range.” Managing Director Bradley Gaunt attributes the company’s success on their high quality product range as well as its lean and efficient strategy, allowing for significant savings to be made by customers. He said: “Here at Made For Trade, we have a simple philosophy; provide the best products with the best service at the best prices. With further expansion expected, we are confirming to the industry that we are a force to contend with.” Richard Gaunt, Director, Made For Trade, expects the roof to make a big impact in the market. He said: “The Celsius Solid Roof is how a roof should be. I believe we have the best product, for the lowest prices. If it wasn’t good people wouldn’t come back and order from us again.” With a database of over 700 returning customers, Richard and Bradley’s point is more than proven. The roof is timber, rather than aluminium like many of its competitors, making it much more lightweight.
