Building the Future... One Student at a Time
The City of Tallassee is known as the ‘Treasure on the Tallapoosa.’ Tallassee rests
between eastern Elmore County and western Tallapoosa County. Tallassee City
Schools is an outstanding public school system in the heart of Alabama. Nearly half of
our high school students participate in show choir or marching band, making our
music programs one of the best in the state.
Athletically, Tallassee has enjoyed much success in numerous sports such as football,
wrestling, baseball, track and field, cross country, soccer, softball, volleyball, and
basketball.
Our high school and middle school students use iPads in their classrooms as part of a
one-to-one technology initiative where our students learn in a blended learning
environment. We will soon be opening our Career Center where our students will be
able to take dual enrollment classes here in our own community. It seems as though
‘Treasure on the Tallapoosa’ is a fitting reference for our school system too.
